The AM’d is a slightly larger locking D that provides a lot of internal space for multiple slings, bights, hitches, etc. The size provides a large gate opening as well, making clipping in and out easier. The symmetrical D-shape shifts the load to the spine for increased strength. Like all Petzl carabiners, the AM’d boasts a snag-free, strength-enhancing keylock closure design, and a red “unlocked” warning indicator.
