The high sheath proportion and tight weave make the Genesis a very durable half rope. These should be used in pairs and are clipped into alternate pieces of protection. Although more difficult to manage and slightly heavier than a single rope, they can reduce rope drag, making them an excellent choice for alpine and mixed routes that wander. They also offer the advantage of full-length rappels if you are forced to retreat.
