Gravel grinder, single tracker, asphalt crusher, all-rounder: the Cote legend continues. Solid, comfortable and reliable, the steel frame is unchanged from the Cote of years past – and why should it be? Compliant enough to soak up chuddery gravel roads yet light enough to hang in on club rides when running road tires, it's a truly versatile and do-anything frame. The latest iteration of proven Shimano Tiagra tech adorns this year's model. Featuring hidden shifting cables, a first for Tiagra, while also incorporating the sexy 4-arm 110BCD crank design used on Shimano's Dura-Ace and Ultegra offerings, Tiagra 4700 is a huge step up from last year. Trickle-down tech from Shimano's top shelf also appears in the front derailleur, with a longer link arm for effortless and precise shifts. Powerful Shimano R517 mechanical disc brakes provide outstanding stopping power and modulation regardless of conditions. Commute, grind, noodle, race – whatever you're into, the Cote makes it happen.

  • Reynolds 520 steel frame is stable, durable, ridiculously smooth and chock-full of mid-century prestige. A slightly lowered bottom bracket yields an ultra-stable ride
  • Shimano® R517 mechanical disc brakes provide nuanced modulation and powerful stopping power regardless of terrain or weather
  • Shimano Tiagra 4700 gruppo is solid and better than ever. Achingly gorgeous 110BCD crank is stiff, light and easy to service. Dura-Ace inspired front derailleur provides light, precise and fast shifts. Redesigned shift/brake levers feature stealthy routing for the first time
  • 10-speed drivetrain with 11-32t cassette and compact 50-34t crank provides a wide gear range for pretty much any kind of riding
  • Big 35C tires work well on unpaved roads and potholed city streets
  • Threaded eyelets for racks and/or fenders
  • Huge tire clearance for high volume tires and mega-fender setups
  • Alex AClass CXD5s are tubeless-ready and ready for the rigors of cyclocross – heat-treated alloy rims, aluminum hubs and sealed bearings tie the build together
  • Bikes are covered by MEC's Rocksolid Guarantee and Bike Service Agreement. You can bring your bike to any MEC bike shop for free adjustments and minor maintenance for a year after purchase
  • MEC bikes were designed in Canada. From frames to, to graphics, to componentry builds, every element of the bike is developed at the MEC Head Office in Vancouver, BC
