The Swim Jet's motor is engaged by holding down the finger trigger, which also toggles between the different power output modes. Releasing the trigger disengages the motor immediately. The jet is slightly negatively buoyant, letting you dive without effort. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery charges fully in about 2 hours, the housing is waterproof and dirtproof, and the internal components are resistant to corrosion and suitable for both fresh- and saltwater use. Naturally, a camera mount on top lets you capture your adventures.
