The smallest buoyant PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) currently available. If things go sideways, the ResQLink+ is the ace you want in your pocket. Activation is simple: deploy the antenna and press the "on" button. The ResQLink+ uses a 66-channel GPS to calculate your position within 100 metres, and then transmits it on 406Mhz to two different satellite constellations, LEOSAR and GEOSAR, for speed and redundancy. The beacon also broadcasts a local signal on 121.5MHz that searchers can pinpoint once they're in your vicinity.

No paid subscription is required. The only additional expense is replacing the battery every 6 years. If you need to use the ResQLink+, ACR will replace it with a PLB of equal or greater value in return for the old beacon and your rescue story.

  • Simple 1-button operation is easy to use in the worst conditions: just release the antenna and push the on/off button
  • 66-channel GPS signal guides rescuers within 100m of your location, and the homing frequency and strobe bring them the rest of the way
  • UV-resistant, durable polycarbonate composite housing
  • A built-in LED strobe helps rescuers on final approaches at night or in low visibility
  • Batteries are tested for a ~30 hour runtime at -20°C, are good for a total of 220 self-tests/12 GPS tests, and last for 6 years on standby. Batteries should be replaced after emergency use
  • Waterproof to 5m for 1 hour and 10m for 10 minutes. Exceeds RTCM waterproof requirements
  • Approvals: Cospas-Sarsat, FCC, Canada, R&TTE, Australia and New Zealand
  • Included Velcro lets you put the beacon right where you want it
  • 5-year manufacturer warranty
  • Free registration is required with the Canadian Beacon Registry to ensure pertinent information about you, your group, travel plans and medical history is available. Information can be updated at any time through canadianbeaconregistry.forces.gc.ca
