On its own, the Messenger Plus can send preset messages, check-in, and call for a rescue. When paired with your phone, your get complete access to your phone’s keyboard for messaging, the ability to send media messages, and use map-based GPS navigation, all without needing a cell phone signal. Your messages travel on Iridium’s satellite network, giving you the ability to call for help or share a sunset, anywhere on the planet. If you get turned around the internal GPS gives you options, with navigation through the free Explore app, or an easy path right back to where you started via the TracBack feature. Building on the refined capabilities of the first generation inReach Messenger, the Plus adds a more functionality and personal touch to your off-grid comms.
